The Juniata FFA Chapter will be selling evergreen arrangements after school on December 15th, 17th, and 21st. If you enjoy looking at beautiful flower arrangements and the smell of pine trees, please come and buy our arrangements! They are going to be created and decorated by the FFA Chapter and prices are reasonable. They are great Christmas gifts and will spruce up any room that needs a little help to get into the holiday spirit!
Juniata FFA Members Attend National FFA Convention

Juniata FFA Chapter Receives Award
The National FFA Organization recently selected, from a pool of more than 650 candidates nationwide, the Juniata FFA Chapter of Mifflintown, PA as a 2-star winner in the National FFA Chapter Award Program. The chapter members were invited to attend the 84th National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana, October 19-22, 2011, where they were recognized for this honor. Six Juniata FFA members joined more than 55,000 FFA members from across the nation to participate in the National FFA Convention.
The six Juniata FFA members that attended were Michael Baillie of Thompsontown, Robert Bowersox III of Port Royal, David Hampton III of Mifflintown, Thomas Orris of Port Royal, Alesha Reed of Mifflin and Maddie Zendt of Mifflintown. During their time at the convention, they attended various leadership workshops, learned about different career fields across the county in agriculture at the Career Center and College Fair, listened to Dave Roever, a nationally known motivational speaker, and even went ice skating.
On Thursday, October 20th the Juniata FFA chapter was recognized The National FFA Chapter Award program recognizes FFA chapters for developing and conducting a detailed Program of Activities. Each activity provides opportunities for members to excel in one of three areas: student, chapter, or community development. Every year, chapters are recognized as having earned one, two, or three-star rating on their application. The three-star rating is the highest level of accomplishment a chapter may achieve. This is the fifth time Juniata FFA chapter has been recognized at the National FFA Convention since 2006 for the FFA Chapter Award program.
